Here we are at Anglesea, our first stop after leaving the Melbourne airport. We stopped and stocked up on groceries for the first leg of our trip.
Our route took us on the Great Ocean Road which was built by the soldiers returning from World War I. It is also a memorial to the soldiers that did
not return from the war. The road is about 280km, or 175 miles, long and starts in Geelong and goes to Warrnambool, almost all the way to South Australia, I believe.

This is the lovely car we rented in Melbourne.
We stopped to check out the beautiful farmland which ran right into the ocean. (Look closely behind the car in the above picture.)
Along our drive, we discovered these beautiful flowers everywhere that Jul just loved!
We also spotted some koala's at this "koala hotspot." (I will remember the real name of it sometime!)
After driving for 189km (2.5 hours, approximately) we finally got to Apollo Bay where we were going to stay for two nights while Jul and Linden caught up on their sleep. While they were sleeping, I went out and enjoyed the ocean.
Well, I made Jul go with me one time after she reprimanded me for going swimming alone.
And that was Day 1 of our holiday!
Here, again, you two could pass for twins in the picture on either side of Linden!
