Our First House - The Bedrooms

I will continue the tour of our first house with the bedrooms. We have two bedrooms, neither of which are overly big.
The first one you will see is the "Master Bedroom."

These are the "before I painted" photos. This room was a bright blue color that was a little to overwhelming.
The trim and doors were all pretty scratched up.

I spent three days priming and painting all of the walls and trim with paint that I found in the basement.

The color I painted was supposed to be a very light grey. But with the blue curtain in there (which was originally found in the Guest Bedroom), it looks a little blue.

The dresser on the left is covering the door that opens right into the basement stairs and the downstairs apartments entryway. We aren't sure why it's even there.

This is looking from inside the room so you can see the closet and the door into the hall.
Now onto the "Guest Chambers."

This room is even smaller then the Master Bedroom and it's color is a light cream. I didn't have to paint this one.

A huge thanks to our friend, Tiffany G., for giving us a bedroom set of a chest of drawers, vanity and mirror, and headboard! And these curtains I found in one of the hall cupboards. (This place came with a lot of junk, random useful stuff, and random non-useful stuff!)

And lastly, the closet side of the room.
That is the end of Act II in the tour of Our House!

  1. It looks like you did a good job painting. And, evidently either you really worked your muscles and got those dressers moved it, or you hijacked some friends and brought them over to get your furniture moved. Either way, it looks great! I'm enjoying this tour of your house.
