Our Wedding Trip - Day 3

On Wednesday, the day we were originally supposed to get married, we instead got to wonder around and relax on the beach.
He didn't like that I wouldn't let him wear his sunglasses for the photo.
Something I can't comprehend about my husband: he blinks in every photo because the flash hurts his eyes and wears sunglasses because the sun is to
bright for his eyes. Yet, he can swim with his eyes open in saltwater all day and never feel a thing! Can anyone explain that to me?

We found the resorts "Daily Breeze" for the day...

I guess printer didn't get the memo that we missed our wedding that day!

The swim-up piano bar.

It was this morning that we got to meet with our resort wedding planner, Chantelle. We just had to verify some information, pick out the walking in and walking out songs, and the song for our first dance. I couldn't tell you what the first two songs were, because we didn't have anything in mind. Chantelle found us some good music for that. But for the first dance, I requested Jason's favorite song, "Moonlight Serenade," played by the Glenn Miller Band. We also got to pick the flavor of our wedding cake. The choices were vanilla, chocolate, and Jamaican Rum. We chose the Jamaican Rum - it was super delicious, even though I don't like rum! Another perk we received as part of our wedding package was a wedding dinner at the Oleander Restaurant, which offered Caribbean cuisine, as well as have breakfast brought to our room the morning after! Our little meeting took about an hour and then we had the rest of the day to do nothing. It was wonderful!
One person that Jason works with requested that we try Red Stripe, a Jamaican beer. It was pretty decent.

We decided to check out the resort store.

More of the resort surroundings...

This guy would drive up and down the beach collecting the used beach towels.

One of the resort cats. We were told that they will not go close to the Jamaican's, but they are friendly with the guests! The resort is actually paid big money to catch these cats for some reason.

Headed out for dinner that night.

Sandals main pool at the end of the day.

  1. That piano bar is just the cats! That is so cool! I would love to have played it (even though my skills are not equal to such an extravagant setup!).
